Reinpo Retail kick-off meeting held in Castellón on 27 – 28th January 2011.


Reinpo Retail project: Regional Innovative Policies to reinforce the Retail Sector, was launched last January 2011 in the facilities of the lead partner, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Castellón, during a two-day meeting to which partners from France, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and Spain, attended.

Reinpo Retail aims at improving regional policies to incorporate innovation in the retail sector and the services in the Mediterranean and has a total budget of 1.3 Million Euros to be 75% cofinanced by the MED Programme.

The partnership is composed of 9 partners from 5 different countries: the Chamber of Commerce of Castellón, the Andalusian Regional Council of Chambers of Commerce, the Ministry for Economic Development, Innovation and Technology and Informatics of the Region of Abruzzo, the Chamber of Commerce of Naples, the International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, Region of Western Greece, the Chamber of Commerce of Drama, the Chamber of Commerce of Lyon and the University Development Center and University Incubator of Primorska.

During the 24 months of implementation, the project will focus on research and technological development capacity, entrepreneurship support, development of new businesses and innovative initiatives through the promotion of a 2.0 Technological Platform that will allow the implementation of common services for the local development and economical promotion networks of agencies in the Mediterranean.
